Block DiagramShown in the picture below is the block diagram of the hall effect sensor board architecture with its functional units. Heart of the sensor board is ATmega16 which is an 8-Bit microcontroller from Atmel. It controls all multiplexer in order to access the sensor rows and columns. ATmega provides all essential standard interfaces such as serial port, timer interface, JTAG for debugging, and numerous general purpose input/output (GPIO) ports at low power.
