Education:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science and Engineering in , Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, 2014.

Experience:

  • ARM Research (Summer of 2019): I Worked on developing a hyperparameter tuning library called Mango with state of art realization of parallel exploration and exploitation using Bayesian optimizer. Mango will be released soon for public consumption. Mango is comparable in performance to existing libraries and supports scheduling of workloads on the Kubernetes cluster. Mango is compatible with Sklearn hyperparameters definitions and Scipy distributions.
  • Teradata Labs (Summer of 2018): I worked on developing deep learning infrastructure to enable neural network training on very large datasets within the distributed database architecture. More details are in the VLDB-19 paper: http://www.vldb.org/pvldb/vol12/p1854-sandha.pdf
  • IBM Research (Dec 2014 - Sep 2016): I worked as software engineer in IBM Research, New Delhi. I contributed to the research and development of several projects in the areas of mobile computing, distributed computing, and machine learning. I co-authored and presented in several top conferences my works.
  • Oracle (July 2014 - Dec 2014): I was part of the Oracle database team and contributed to add recovery capabilities to the Oracle SQL database. I have experience with architecture and query executions. I have worked in designing and development of several of the query functionalities which provides enhanced database backup features.
